Rebecca and Laurel have the most *adorable* maltese! I think they could be in advertising they are so cute. Especially little Pickle as she just hammed it up for the camera the whole time. I am so glad they brought them in for portraits and even happier they loved them so much!

Here are the fearsome foursome :)

Ace and Winston

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Winston has brought his brother Ace to see me since he was a tiny puppy. The adorable white boxer puppy photos you see on my site, are this big guy when he was a little guy!! Winston is the dignified part of the pair, where, Ace is the clown. Its great to see the Miller family each time they come in!

Tuscany....

What a beautiful beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! Tuscany behaved like the perfect princess she is. I think I kept everyone too long as I was having so much fun photographing her, I kept doing different things. She did not find the big bow around her neck to be worthy of her and the little coat I had, well, she suffered through it gracefully ;)

Enjoy the photos and slideshow, I know I enjoyed making them!

3 whippets and twins

Monday, November 9, 2009

Ya thought I was talking about my family right? Close, but no. Twin boys is the major difference and one year younger than my two. Pretty wild though. All 5 of them were perfect angels. The boys could not have been better behaved. Gotta love it!

Sherry, Harlee and family...

Harlee is a very regal guy. He was totally unimpressed with the whole deal, but, completely not worried about it either. If he were human, he'd be one of those really laid back guys, who just watches, doesn't have a lot to say and sorta smirks at everything :D Harlee brought his niece and nephew with him too! They were adorable kids who were thrilled to get to be in the photos with him. Kids and dogs are still a huge favorite of mine!

The Jessen's

I love senior dogs. They have wisdom, are laid back and just neat to be around. Karin and Kim brought their three rescues, 2 goldens and a white GSD to have Christmas photos done. I swear I could the dogs saying "Come on lady, it is so beneath us to smile!" :D

I love this time of year :)

Oh and a little bit of trivia, I can hit that high F that is sung in this song. Seriously. I missed my calling :) I told my mom I should sing opera.

Airedales...the king of the terriers

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Sue brought Ben in for a few special portraits. I was so excited, as he is the very first airedale I have had the pleasure of photographing! I have taken photos of Irish terriers, but, never an airedale! What a cool dog. I could totally see myself having one of these guys!

Show Dogs...

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

I think everyone knows how much I LOVE to do advertising photos of show animals. It has its own special set of skills and trials. You must be able to capture the very best of the animal you are photographing. A photographer can take a stunning dog and make it look awful, if photographed at the wrong angles.

It can happen to any of us. When I say I have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, I mean it. I can make mistakes. I can have a bad day, the animal may be having a bad day. I want not only you to be satisfied, I want the subject to shine!

Isaac is a gorgeous young male whippet. His first shoot was sorta "meh" and we didn't come up with much that any of us loved. So, I redid the shoot and now we have a bunch we all love!

If you would like to see the ad that was done from these, go to Ewhippetzine and have a look!
